WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Allegheny men's soccer team was unable to overcome a pair of late goals as they fell 3-1 to Washington and Jefferson on the road Saturday (Oct. 1).
The Gators got on the board early. Just five minutes into the game,
Cam Kaminski (Bowling Green, Ohio/Maumee Valley Country Day) struck a ball past the goalkeeper to the top right corner, giving the Gators the 1-0 lead.
The lead held for about 25 minutes until the Presidents scored in the 31st minute, tying the game at one.
The score remained tied at one for the next 47 minutes. In the 78th minute, the Presidents broke through for their second goal of the game. Washington and Jefferson tacked on another goal four minutes later.
Allegheny pressured the Presidents in closing minutes of the match but were unable to find the back of the net again as they fell 3-1.
