MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Allegheny women's soccer team hosted No. 11-nationally ranked Case Western Reserve on the Robertson Blue Turf and dropped the nonconference decision by a final count of 1-0.

The lone goal of the day came in the 65th as the Spartans scored off a cross from the far side.

Kari May (Erie, Pa./McDowell) made a season-high 18 saves in goal for the Gators. Of the 18 saves, 12 came in the second half.Â

Natasha Rosa (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) and
Hallie Johnson (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy) had shots on goal for Allegheny.

The Gators will host a nonconference match against SUNY Fredonia at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 21 in their next action before beginning North Coast Athletic Conference play at Kenyon on Saturday, Sept. 25.
