CLARION, Pa. -- The Allegheny women's tennis team swept Division-II Clarion on the road Friday (Sept. 17).
 
The win brings the Gators to 2-2 on the year.
 
Allegheny started the day by winning all three doubles flights.  Sabrina Rodriguez (Kissimmee, Fla.) and Ella Swan (Nashville, Tenn./Hume-Fogg Academic) picked up the win at first doubles.  Jean-Arlette Legrand (San Juan, Puerto Rico) and Katherine Stancil (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) won at second doubles while Lauren Passarelli and Allison Riley (Twinsburg, Ohio/Twinsburg) won at third doubles.
 
In singles competition, Swan, Rodriguez, Legrand, Stancil, and Riley won the first through fifth flights, respectively, for their second wins of the day.  At sixth singles, Noelle Kidd (Broadview Heights, Ohio/North Royalton) picked the win to complete the sweep.
 
The Gators are back in action Sept. 15 when they host Mount Union at 1 p.m.
