MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Blue & Gold Weekend 2021 brought the finale of the Allegheny women's tennis team's fall schedule, as the Gators defeated the visiting Mount Union Raiders 9-0.
 
In doubles competition, Ella Swan (Nashville, Tenn./Hume-Fogg Academic) and Katherine Stancil (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) at first doubles and Taylor Hayes (Geneva, Ill./Geneva Community) and Noelle Kidd (Broadview Heights, Ohio/North Royalton) at third doubles each had 8-0 wins.  At second doubles, Allison Riley (Twinsburg, Ohio/Twinsburg) and Sabrina Rodriguez (Kissimmee, Fla./Professional and Technical High School) won 8-1.
 
In singles action, Swan, Rodriguez, Stancil, Riley and Kidd all collected their second wins on the day.  Tiaralei Cade (Lakenheath, England/Lakenheath American) won 6-0, 6-0 at sixth singles.
 
The match served as the finale for the fall portion of the women's tennis schedule, and the Gators will be idle until the spring season kicks off.
