WOOSTER, Ohio -- The Allegheny baseball team dropped a pair of nonconference games to Wooster on Saturday.
Luke Chutko (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) led the Gator offense in game one with a pair of hits as well as a pair of RBIs.
Jake Stotsky (Pittsburgh, Pa./Vincentian Academy),
Isaiah Lucas (Butler, Pa./Butler) and
Tyler Hettich (Sarver, Pa./Freeport) all notched a hit in the first game.
Game two was highlighted by two first career home runs.
Jacob Budnar (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) belted a two-run shot over the left field fence for his first round tripper in the top of the third inning. Budnar led Allegheny in the night cap with three hits and three RBIs.
Roman Santia (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) hit a two-run home run of his own in the top of the fifth inning for the first of his collegiate career. Santia also placed his home run over the left field fence.
Hettich,
Brayden Cartwright (New Castle, Pa./New Castle) and
Ben Kosbie (Pittsburgh Pa./Shady Side Academy) all notched a hit in the second game.
Allegheny will cap off its four-game nonconference series with Wooster on Sunday at home. First pitch from the Robertson Athletic Complex is scheduled for 12 p.m.
