DELAWARE, Ohio -- Allegheny dropped a pair of nonconference games to Ohio Wesleyan on Sunday.
In game one,
Brett Heckert (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) led Allegheny's offense with a 2-for-3 day at the plate. He also drove in a run and drew a walk.
Patrick Page (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Hartley) launched the first home run of his career in the top of the sixth inning. His two-RBI shot to center field was a team-high in that category.
During the night cap,
Ryan Dougherty (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) recorded his second home run in as many days. In the top of the seventh inning, he belted a three-run home run over the center field fence. His three RBIs tied for a game-high.
Luke Chutko (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills),
Ben Kosbie (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shady Side Academy),
Jonathan Sharp (Chardon, Ohio/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) and
Andrew Stablewski (Buffalo, N.Y./St. Joseph's Collegiate Academy) all notched a hit in game two.
Allegheny will be back in action next weekend for back-to-back nonconference doubleheaders with Wooster. Wooster will host the first set of games on Saturday with first pitch scheduled for 12 p.m.
