Allegheny stumbles at Wooster

WOOSTER, Ohio -- The Allegheny softball team lost a pair of North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) games at Wooster on Sunday.

In game one, Isabelle Wakefield (Sicklerville, N.J./Timber Creek) accounted for two of the three Allegheny runs with a double to center field that scored Hayley Behr (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) and Cameron Long (Midlothian Va./Midlothian).

Behr, Wakefield, Kaylin Tang (Vienna, Va./South Lakes) and Hadley Horensky (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Seton LaSalle Catholic) all recorded hits during the first outing.

During the second game, Behr belted her third home run of the season by virtue of a two-run shot over the right field wall.

Long and Kelly Lafferty (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond River) paced the offensive effort with a 2-for-3 day at the plate each.

Allegheny is scheduled to continue NCAC play with a doubleheader at Hiram on Thursday. First pitched is slated for 3:30 pm.
