Allegheny defeats Mount Aloysius in exhibition opener, 85-69

CRESSON, Pa. -- The Allegheny Women's Basketball team won an exhibition game on the road over Mount Aloysius, 85-69, in its first varsity intercollegiate competition of the season.
 
The traditional 2020-21 women's basketball season was not completed as scheduled due to COVID-19 protocols. However, due to the diligence of the Allegheny student body, student-athletes, administration, faculty, staff and improved conditions nationwide, the Allegheny College Health Agency (ACHA) approved a limited number of exhibition contests for the Gators' winter sports teams to be able to compete during the spring semester, while the spring sports teams were preparing for traditional seasons.
 
Additional details from Friday night's win at Mount Aloysius will be provided when more information becomes available.
 
The Gators will return to action on Sunday, March 21 when they host Mount Aloysius in the second half of the home-and-home series. Tip-off from the James H.
