MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Allegheny men's basketball team welcomed Division II Pitt Johnstown to Meadville Saturday (Nov. 20).
The visiting Mountain Cats picked up the win, 104-74.
Brain Roberts, Jr. (Copley, Ohio/Copley) led the Gators with 26 points, draining six three-pointers while going a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. In addition to his scoring, he tallied three rebounds and two assists.
Luke Barker (New Castle, Pa./Struthers (Ohio)) was second on the team with 12 points alongside three rebounds, two steals and two assists.
Holden Phillips (Broadlands, Va./Briar Wood) had seven points with a team-high nine rebounds.
Andre Wilder (Beaver Falls, Pa./Lincoln Park) and
Wes Kropp (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) had six points each.
Jordan Greynolds (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton) and
Josh Ratesic (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) had four assists apiece to lead the team.
Prior to the game, former head coach and athletic director Norm Sundstorm presented the officials with the game ball, while he was recognized for his significant contributions to Allegheny Athletics at halftime, alongside many of his former student-athletes in attendance.
Allegheny will play its second-straight Division II foe as it travels to Clarion on Tuesday (Nov. 23). Tipoff is scheduled for 5 pm.
