CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. -- Allegheny dropped the first of its two games in Indiana by suffering an 83-71 loss at Wabash on Friday night (Feb. 7).
The loss snaps a two-game winning streak against the Little Giants and drops the Gators to 11-9 overall and 5-8 in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC).
Jordan Rawls (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) led the Gators with 19 points and eight rebounds in the defeat, finishing 8-for-12 from the field and 3-of-5 from three-point range. The senior now has amassed 1,642 points, bringing him within 52 of tying the school record of 1,694 held by Brian Stadnik (1983-87).
Nijon Kirkman (Cleveland, Ohio/John Hay) was second on the squad with 17 points, matching Rawls at eight boards.
Brian Roberts, Jr. (Copley, Ohio/Copley) and
Brock Brumfield (Medina, Ohio/Buckeye) joined the duo with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
The Gators will make the short trek from Crawfordsville to Greencastle, Ind. for a 2 p.m. tip-off at DePauw on Saturday (Feb. 8).
