DELAWARE, Ohio—The Allegheny men's basketball team was unable to overcome a first-half deficit as they dropped a North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) road contest at Ohio Wesleyan Saturday (Jan. 25), 71-52.
Jordan Rawls (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) led the Gators with 13 points, seven rebounds and a pair of steals.
Caden Hinckley (Boise, Idaho/Mt. Lebanon (Pa.)) tallied his fourth double-double of the season with 10 points and a team-high 11 rebounds.
Jordan Greynolds (Barbeton, Ohio/Barberton) closed the game with nine points while
Keeno Holmes (Pittsburgh, Pa./Lincoln park) and
Brian Roberts, Jr. (Copley, Ohio/Copley) scored six points apiece. Holmes also had a pair of steals.
The Battling Bishops held the Gator offense at bay in the first half, taking a 41-13 lead into the locker room. The Gators outscored Ohio Wesleyan 39-30 in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome the deficit.
The Gators are back on the road Wednesday (Jan. 29) at NCAC foe Wooster.
