MEADVILLE, Pa. The Allegheny volleyball team hosted DePauw University for a North Coast Athletic Conference matchup on Sunday (Sept. 29). The Tigers defeated the Gators in three sets (25-19, 25-14, 25-19).
Darielis Frias (Trujilo Alto, PR./Colegio De Diego De Carolina) led the offense with six kills, while also adding one block assist.
Olivia D'Andrea (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic) helped the Allegheny attack with 16 assists.
The Gators totaled 10 block assists in the match, including a team-high three from
Jyl Russotti (Rochester, N.Y./Bishop Kearney).
Kristiana Hardisty (Camarillo, Calif./Rancho Campana),
Kendall Crum (Chattanooga, Tenn./Girls Preparatory) and
Jillian Kirby (Cincinnati, Ohio/Clermont Northeastern) each tallied two.
Rebecca MacQuarrie (Waterford, Pa./Fort LeBouef) and D'Andrea both added double-digits digs with 16 and 12, respectively.
Allegheny travels to Oberlin on Wednesday (Oct. 2) for its first conference road trip of the season. First serve is slated for 7:00 p.m.
