GRANVILLE, Ohio—The Allegheny College softball team ended their 2018 season with a North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) doubleheader at Denison University Sunday (April 28).
Denison won game one 16-1 and game two 5-0.
Game One – Denison 16, Allegheny 1 (5 innings)
The Big Red scored seven runs in the second, three in the third and six in the fourth while holding the Gators to just one run on three hits.
Joplin Osgood (Coudersport, Pa./Coudersport) had a RBI double for the Gators.
Paige Ziggas (Beaver, Pa./Beaver Area) and
Emily Cramer (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) also registered hits.
Mariah Nablo (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville North) scored the run for the Gators.
Game Two – Denison 5, Allegheny 0
Denison scored a run in both the third and fourth inning before tacking on three runs in the bottom of the sixth. In the top of the seventh, the Big Red forced three straight Gator outs to win the game.

Samantha Valera (Chicago, Ill./Lane Technical),
Kyleigh Cason (Virginia Beach, Va./Floyd E Kellam) and
Kaylin Tang (Vienna, Va./South Lakes) recorded hits for the Gators.
The Gators conclude the season with an 8-23-1 overall record and a 3-12-1 mark in NCAC play.
