NOTABLE: 2018 NCAA Statistical Leader in sacrifice hits per game

2018: Started 31 games... led the NCAA in sac hits with 18... hit .218... scored 20 runs with 10 RBI... 17 hits... .322 on-base percentage... five multi-hit games

2017: Appeared in 27 games, making 11 starts... scored five runs and had two RBI... had first career hit against Calvin

Graduate of Lane Technical High School... Three-year softball varsity letterwinner... Helped lead team to City League championships in both 2014 and 2015, and runner-up in 2016...  also involved in National Honors Society, Polynesian Club, President of the Letterman Club and was a Lane Scholar while graduating top 50 of her class... Daughter of Gilcerio and Jeanmarie Valera... Mathematics major with managerial economics and global health studies minor... Future plans are to pursue a career in actuarial science.
