MEADVILLE, Pa.—The Allegheny College men's tennis team returned to action Saturday (March 30) with a 9-0 win over Penn State Behrend.
At first doubles,
Matt Andrus and
Wonjoon Cho bested Michael Duckett and Noah Colvin 8-5.
Zach Anderson and
Colton Johnson Taylor swept Mitchell May and Belden Tuttle 8-0.
Ewan Malenfant and
Benny Gantrish earned a forfeit win in the third doubles flight.
Andrus collected a clean 6-0, 6-0 sweep at first singles against Duckett. Anderson defeated May 6-0, 6-1 in the second flight.
Cooper Miller picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win at third singles against Colvin.
Mackenzie Knowlton had a 7-5, 6-1 victory at fourth singles against Tuttle. Malenfant had a 6-0, 6-2 win against Max Lu at fifth singles, while
Fabrizzio Reategui earned a forfeit win at sixth singles to complete the sweep.
The Gators start North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) play on Friday (April 5) as they host Wittenberg University.
