HILTON HEAD, S.C.—The Allegheny College women's tennis team fell in action Wednesday morning (March 20) to Edgewood College 8-1.
Amanda Ress Liere picked up a win for the Gators at first singles. Ress Liere faced off against Alyssa Carew. In the opening set, Ress Liere cruised to a 6-0 sweep. Carew won a pair of games in set two, but Ress Liere won 6-2 for the match win.
At first doubles, Ress Liere and
Miharu Koh had a close match against Sydney Verbauwhede and Kai Heineman, but the Edgewood duo were able to pick up a break to take it 8-6.
The Gators are back in action Thursday (March 21) against Stevenson University.
