MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Allegheny field hockey team fell 6-0 to conference foe Kenyon to begin 2019 North Coast Athletic Conference play.
The Gators held the Ladies scoreless through the first period as goalie
Hallie Reiger (Oklahoma City, Okla.) made three saves. Kenyon eventually broke through in the second period with a goal from Tara Shetty. Another goal from the Ladies put the deficit at two with the teams heading into the break, but four goals in the third period produced the final tally.
Faythe Schulte (Warwick, R.I./Rocky Hill) took the lone shot for the Gators.
Vivian Super (Granville, Ohio/Granville) made a defensive save in the second period, her first of the season and the 15th for Allegheny this season.
The Gators are back on the Blue Turf tomorrow (Oct. 6) for a nonconference showdown against Concordia (Wis.), slated for 1:00 p.m.
