MEADVILLE, Pa.—The Allegheny field hockey team was unable to overcome an early Concordia (Wis.) goal as they fell to the Falcons 5-0 at home Sunday (Oct. 6) in nonconference play.
The Gator offense pressured the Falcons throughout the game, as they tallied 11 shots and earned 15 penalty corners. The 15 penalty corners is their highest mark in that category this season, while the 11 shots is second best.
Faythe Schulte (Warwick, R.I./Rocky Hill) led the Gator offense with five shots, three of which were on target.
Kinsley Greenlaw (Fredericksburg, Va./Stafford) had a pair of shots, while four other Gators registered an attempt.
Hallie Reiger (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma/Casady) made five saves in goal while
Heather Amancio (San Diego, Calif./Patrick Hentry) made four stops.
Hannah Sharp (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) had a defensive save to push the team total to 10 stops.
The Gators are back on the road next weekend as they travel to Indiana for a pair of North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) contests against Earlham and DePauw.
