GRANVILLE, Ohio - The Allegheny field hockey team was dealt a 6-0 loss at Denison on Saturday (Oct. 19).
Big Red scored five minutes into the game to take the initial lead and then added on another in the 27th. Denison would go on to score four goals in the second half to provide the final result.
Hallie Reiger (Oklahoma City, Okla./Casady) started in goal for the Gators and made 10 saves in her half of work, while
Heather Amancio (San Diego, Calif./Patrick Henry) stopped six shots in her 30 minutes in the cage. Reiger's 10 save performance is her second double-digit total of the season.
Faythe Schulte (Warwick, R.I./Rocky Hill) and
Zoey Dudek (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) each took a shot in the match.
The Gators return to Meadville, Pa. for a two-game North Coast Athletic Conference homestand, beginning with a Wednesday (Oct. 23) match against Oberlin.
