MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Allegheny field hockey team fell to Washington & Jefferson in a close 1-0 game on Tuesday (Oct. 15).
The Gators pitched a shutout for the first half, behind five saves from
Hallie Reiger (Oklahoma City, Okla./Casady). The Presidents were able to find their lone goal in the 41st minute as a scramble in front of the Allegheny goal resulted in a shot into the cage by Lindsey Diggan.
Faythe Schulte (Warwick, R.I./Rocky Hill),
Kinsley Greenlaw (Fredericksburg, Va./Stafford), and
Kelsey Anderson (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) each registered a shot for the Gators.
Allegheny is back in action for a North Coast Athletic Conference matchup at Denison on Saturday (Oct. 19). The game is slated for an 11:00 a.m. start.
