BUFFALO, N.Y.—The Allegheny College volleyball team was in action Friday (Sept. 14) as they competed against Geneva College in a match that took place at the Buffalo State Bengal Challenge.
The Golden Tornadoes won the match 3-1 (25-13, 25-15, 25-27, 25-22).
Grace Lengauer led the way offensively for the Gators with career-high 15 kills to go with 13 digs and four aces.
Alysha Crowther was just under double digits for kills as she finished the match with nine.
Rebecca MacQuarrie finished with seven kills while
Jyl Russotti had six.
Raelynn Dorscheid and
Olivia D'Andrea split the setter duties as Dorscheid finished with 22 assists while D'Andrea had 16.
Defensively, libero
Rachel Slotterback had her second-best performance of the season with 25 digs. D'Andrea added 18 while Dorscheid had 13.
Allyssa Kerr and Elana Hoppel led the Golden Tornadoes with 11 kills apiece. Daphne Hunsinger had 36 assists while Kayla Coughlin had a team-high 18 digs.
The Gators are back in action Saturday (Sept. 15) for a pair of matches at the Bengal Challenge. At 11 a.m., the Gators face Rochester, and then take on Capital at 3 p.m.
