MEADVILLE, Pa.—The Allegheny College men's tennis team swept Thiel College 9-0 in nonconference play Thursday (April 19).
The three Gator double teams went 24-0 to start the match.
Cooper Miller and
Mike Siegel were the first off the court in their third doubles match against Frank Jackson and Tyler Feciuch. The first doubles team of
Jai Redkar and
Colton Johnson Taylor were next off as they defeated Ryan Sumarsono and Cole Duskey. The second doubles flight of
Mackenzie Knowlton and
Jacob Stringer wrapped up the doubles portion as they defeated Eric Mitchell and Connor Watts.
Redkar was the first off the court in singles action as he won his number one match against Sumarsono 6-0, 6-0. Miller was the next finished as he defeated Mitchell 6-0, 6-0 in the third spot. Stringer collected his second of the day as he defeated Swatts 6-0, 6-0 at fourth singles.
Ewan Malenfant represented the Gators at sixth singles as he defeated Jackson 6-0, 6-0.
Niall Kneerim concluded the match with a 6-0, 6-1 win at fifth singles against Feciuch.
The Gators are back in action Saturday (April 21) as they host Oberlin College in a North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) contest.
