MEADVILLE, Pa.—The Allegheny College men's tennis team fell in their penultimate regular season North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) match 8-1 against Oberlin College Saturday (April 21).
Oberlin entered the match ranked 37
th nationally and 10
th in the Central Region.
The highlight of the day for the Gators came at first doubles.
Jai Redkar and
Colton Johnson Taylor faced Stephen Gruppuso and Camron Cohen. Gruppuso and Cohen are currently ranked 10
th in the Central Region ITA rankings. The Gator dup were able to break their Yeomen counterparts in route to an 8-5 upset win.
The Gators return to action Sunday (April 22) against Kenyon College. The game is Senior Day for the Gators, where they will honor Redkar and
Niall Kneerim prior to the match.
