Box Score 2 MEADVILLE, Pa. – Combining for 22 runs on 24 hits over 16 innings, the Allegheny baseball squad remained red hot in a sweep over North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) foe Kenyon on Friday afternoon. The Gators would take game one, 9-5, before erupting for 10 runs over the first two innings en route to a 13-5, game two victory.
Freshman
Jacob Shick continued his strong offensive week on Friday, finishing the doubleheader 4-for-8 overall with two runs, seven RBI, including a career-high four in game one, adding a home run to jump start the Allegheny offense in game two. Including Thursday's 10-4 win over Penn State Behrend, Shick currently boasts a .538 batting percentage on the week, racking up eight RBI, five runs, four extra base hits and a 1.000 slugging percentage.
Senior
Kyle Davis and junior
Steven Ramsdell picked up back-to-back wins for the second consecutive week, as Davis threw 6.0 innings to secure his sixth win of the season while Ramsdell picked up his fifth with a six-inning outing, tacking on three strikeouts.

Zach Gray picked up a career-high four RBI in game two, while sophomore
Joe Killian tied a career-high with four hits in the nightcap, picking up the total for the second time this season, the first being an 16-11 win over Penn State-Behrend on Apr. 10.
With the Friday sweep, the Gators (20-7, 8-2 NCAC) increase their winning streak to four games, tying their highest streak of the season, while improving their record to 12-3 since returning from Florida. The Gators have now outscored their opponents 32-14, over the last three contests, averaging eight runs per game in three games played over the past two days.
Kenyon (10-18, 1-9 NCAC) kicked off the contest with two runs in the first inning to pick up an early lead. Affter being rendered scoreless for the first two frames, the Allegheny bats started to come alive in the third, started by a single down the right field line by junior
Ben Murray. A walk to Davis put runners one first and second after senior
Shane Regel reached base on a fielder's choice. Junior
Eric Weyant launched a double down the left field line to score Regel before a single by Shick scored the junior and Davis to give the Gators a 3-2 lead in the third.
Allegheny never looked back from that point forward, scoring two runs in the top of the fourth after a bases loaded Kenyon balk scored Gray before another two-run single by Shick scored Davis and Regel to increase the Gator lead to 6-2.
Senior
Mike Pezzone led off the top of the fifth with a single to left, scoring on a double by junior
Adam Bronson in the fifth before a single to right center by Killian allowed Weyant to cross the plate in the sixth. Regel completed the Allegheny scoring with a single through the left side that scored Bronson, providing the final run of the afternoon for the Gators. Freshman
Chase Boyer entered the game in the seventh, closing the door on a Kenyon comeback and clinching the first game for the Blue and Gold.
In his first at bat of game two, Shick launched a pitch to right center for his second home run of the season, as Killian would later score in the inning to give the Gators a 2-0 lead. Ramsdell would retire the first 10 batters in order to set the stage for Allegheny's early offensive success.
The Gators would plate eight runs on five hits in the second inning, as a leadoff single by Murray turned into a pair of runs after Shick singled to left to drive in Murray and Davis, who earned a one-out walk. Killian continued the hit parade, singling through the left side to score Weyant before a single to center by Gray scored Killian and Shick.
Bronson drove in Gray on a single to center, as Pezzone, who was hit by a pitch earlier in the inning, scored on a Kenyon error for Allegheny's seventh run of the inning. Bronson capped off the scoring by crossing the plate on a groundout, giving Ramsdell a 10-0 lead heading into the bottom of the second.
The Allegheny scoring would conclude in the top of the fourth, as Gray picked up his fourth RBI with a double to left to score Pezzone, who was hit by pitch for the second time to lead off the inning. Murray singled to center to score Gray before an additional single by Weyant allowed Murray to cross the plate for the Gators' 13th run. Freshmen

Corey Keenan entered the game in relief for Ramsdell, throwing the final three innings to clinch the Friday sweep for Allegheny.
The Gators will conclude their four-game series against the Lords on Saturday, with a doubleheader slated to start at 12 p.m.
