Isham led the way for the Gators, earning NCAC Newcomer of the Year accolades as he was the top freshman in the field. Isham traversed the course in 26:13.1, averaging a pace of 3:16.6 per kilometer. The finish also earned him All-NCAC First-Team honors. It was the highest finish for a Gator freshman since Logan Steiner finished third overall in 2012.
