Rombach was named the volleyball assistant coach in the spring of 2020.
Prior to arriving at Allegheny, Rombach served Archbishop Spalding High School as the Assistant Varsity Coach as well as the Junior Varsity Head Coach from 2017-2019. During those three seasons, he helped the head coach and the program achieve a record of 26-23 while securing a playoff spot all three years. As the head coach of the JV squad in 2019, Rombach led the team to an undefeated season (16-0).
A 2017 graduate of Thiel College, he was a four-year member of the men’s volleyball program. A four-year letter winner from the setter position, Rombach holds the program record for assists per set in a season (9.82) as well as most assists in a match (73). He served Thiel’s women’s volleyball program from 2015-2017 as a student assistant.
