Tyler Shipley joined the Allegheny Sports Medicine staff in August 2020.
He received his Master of Science in Athletic Training in May 2020 from Ohio University before arriving in Meadville. During his time in Athens, he primarily served Ohio University's Baseball and Field Hockey teams as an Athletic Training Graduate Assistant. His main responsibilities included prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of injured student-athletes as well as providing healthcare education and maintaining healthcare records.
A 2018 graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), Shipley worked with the UNC Football, Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Track & Field and Women’s Lacrosse teams as an athletic training student.   Â
Shipley also served in the United States Navy for seven years as an enlisted Naval Meteorologist and Oceanographer.Â
