Former Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Coach of the Year Jason Falvo was named the head coach of Allegheny College's cross country and track and field program in August 2025.

Falvo, an experienced leader with more than two decades of collegiate coaching experience, spent the bulk of his career in the PAC at Waynesburg University. He founded Waynesburg’s track and field teams in 2005 and built the program into perennial conference contenders. A five-time PAC Coach of the Year and the 2010 Mid-East Region Women’s Coach of the Year, Falvo guided the Yellow Jacket women to PAC outdoor championships in 2013, 2016, and 2017, as well as the 2017 PAC indoor title.

During his tenure at Waynesburg, his student-athletes earned six PAC Field Athlete of the Year awards and five All-America honors in the javelin, shot put, and pole vault. In total, his Yellow Jackets produced 28 national qualifiers, and they succeeded in the classroom with a combined 14 United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team awards. In addition to coaching track and field, Falvo spent 14 seasons with Waynesburg’s football program as assistant head coach, defensive coordinator, and special teams coordinator.

Most recently, Falvo served as head coach of men’s and women’s track and field and cross country at West Liberty University, a Division II member of the Mountain East Conference (MEC). After three seasons as an assistant coach working with sprinters, jumpers, and hurdlers, he was promoted to head coach in August 2023. Under his leadership, the Hilltoppers produced multiple national qualifiers and  All-Americans, plus the 2024 MEC Women’s Freshman of the Year and the 2025 MEC Men’s Track Athlete of the Year. In his final year as an assistant coach in 2023, Falvo helped guide West Liberty to its first-ever MEC Men’s Indoor Track and Field Championship.

Falvo’s resume also includes stints as head track and field coach at Division II PennWest Clarion in 2018-19 and at Eastern University in 2019-20. In his lone season at Eastern, the Eagles won the 2020 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) women’s indoor championship, and Falvo earned both MAC Women’s Indoor Coach of the Year and Mid-East Region Coach of the Year honors.

A native of Washington, Pennsylvania, Falvo was a multi-sport athlete at Juniata College, competing in football and track from 1994-98. He was a three-time all-conference selection in football and set school records in the 200-meter dash and 4x100-meter relay.
