Allegheny College alumnus and assistant professor of chemistry, Dr. Matthew Betush '06, is entering his fifth year as a Faculty Athletics Representative in 2023-24.
Prof. Betush graduated from Allegheny in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. He continued his studies at the University of Rochester, where earned a master's degree in chemistry and a doctorate in philosophy. He returned to his alma mater in June of 2013 as a visiting assistant professor, a role he served for three years until earning the rank of assistant professor in May of 2016.
A Pittsburgh native, Prof. Betush resides in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Ria, and children, Sidney and Violet.Â
