Keith Whittingham

Keith Whittingham joined the Allegheny coaching staff in August 2017.

Whittingham is a Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) certified professional who currently holds a top-80 spot in United States Tennis Association (USTA) men's national rankings and earned an Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) World Ranking in 2014.
 
Prior to joining the Gators, Whittingham held the position of Head Tennis Professional at Westwood Racquet Club in Erie.  At Westwood, Whittingham led all tennis programs, working with players of all ages and skill levels.  He was also responsible for QuickStart Tennis, junior development, adult cardio tennis, private lessons, racket stringing and club maintenance.
 
In addition to working at Westwood, Whittingham also held the Assistant Tennis Director position at Lakeshore Country Club in Erie and coached the 2016-17 Mercyhurst Prep Varsity Girls Tennis program from 2016-2017.  From 2015-2016, he served as the Tennis Professional at Live to Play Tennis Club in Charleston, S.C., working with some of the top junior players in the nation.
 
Whittingham played three years of tennis at Division-II Mercyhurst University after transferring from Division-I Charleston Southern University, graduating in 2012.  With the Lakers, Whittingham was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and Atlantic Region Player of the Year in 2012. In total, he earned six All-PSAC Team honors. He also held a top-50 ranking in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings from 2010-2012.
