Shelby Spaulding was named the women's soccer assistant coach in August of 2019.
Spaulding joined the club after a two-year graduate assistant position with the Concordia (Texas) women's soccer team. In 2017, she helped the Tornadoes to their first 10-win season since 2010. Her duties included serving as an on-site recruiter at college showcases, running all goalkeeper training sessions and preparing scouting reports of opponents during games, among other duties. Â

She spent her playing career at Howard Payne (Texas), where she was a goalkeeper for four years. Spaulding also served as captain of the team during her senior campaign, in which she made 24 saves in over 200 minutes of gameplay.Â

Spaulding graduated with a bachelor's degree in business management from Howard Payne before earning a master of education in athletic administration during her time at Concordia.
