Biography
2013: All-NCAC honorable mention selection…IWLCA All-Great Lakes Region second team selection…started and played in 14 games for Allegheny…finished with new season-highs in ground balls (26) and caused turnovers (15)…also picked up 12 draw controls…tallied three goals, scoring in three Allegheny victories against Franciscan (Feb. 27) along with conference wins over Oberlin (Apr. 16) and Hiram (Apr. 24).
2012: Started all 18 games in goal for Allegheny during her sophomore season … Carly finished the season with an 11.84 goals against average, with a save percentage of .364 … Made 10+ saves on three separate occasions, including a career high 16 saves against Fredonia State on March 1 … Saw action in all 1,099:21 that Allegheny was on the field in 2012.
2011: Appeared in all 18 games for Allegheny during her freshman year, including 16 starts...spent the 2011 season primarily on defense...scored six goals, and dished out 3 assists for a total of 9 points...scored her first career goal, and tallied her first career assist against Lycoming on March 9...had three multi-point games, all three coming with 1 goal and 1 assist, latest coming against Oberlin on April 16...scooped up nine ground balls last season.
Personal: Daughter of Bill and Diane Minsterman…born September 27, 1992…member of lacrosse and soccer teams at Seton-La Salle High (Pittsburgh, Pa.)…two-time US Lacrosse High School Academic All-American, 2009 & 2010…earned first team All-Section in lacrosse…three-time letter winner in lacrosse and lettered twice in soccer...captained both lacrosse and soccer programs…economics major with minor in math.
