Kimberly Burdett joined the Allegheny softball staff during the summer of 2021.
Burdett arrives in Meadville following stints as an assistant coach at Carlow and Franciscan.
As the assistant at Carlow, Burdett helped run practices, keeping stats and scores and helping catchers and first basemen. Prior to Carlow, Burdett was an assistant coach at Franciscan for two years. At Franciscan, Burdett assisted with the planning and coaching of practices and games, fundraising, scouting, recruiting, camps and clinics and stats. Burdett has also interned with Mercyhurst North East softball during their spring training trip, assisting with practices, stats, writing recaps and coaching first base.
Burdett played softball at Mercyhurst North East and Clarion. At Mercyhurst North East, Burdett earned First Team All-Conference honors, and ranked among career leaders in doubles, homeruns, walks and RBI as well as homeruns in a single game with three. As a high school player, Burdett earned Coaches First Team All-State honors and was a four-time Pittsburgh Post-Gazette First Team All-Section selection.
Burdett earned an Associate of Arts from Mercyhurst North East and a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in coaching from Clarion
