Career Performance

2015-16: USTFCCCA All-Region honoree… NCAC champion in the weight throw… NCAC champion in the hammer throw… All-NCAC in javelin… Placed first in the weight throw at the NCAC Indoor Quad (1/23/16) with a throw of 13.87m… Topped 15m in the weight for the first time at the Mount Union Wuske Invitational (2/6/16), placing third at 15.21m… Placed first at the NCAC Indoor Championships in the weight throw with a career-best mark of 15.82m, the third-furthest throw in program history… Placed first in the hammer throw at the William & Mary Tribe Invitational (3/19/16) with a throw of 47.29m… Placed second in the javelin at the Carnegie Mellon Invite (3/26/16) with a throw of 48.08m… Took first in the hammer at the Kenyon Spring Invitational (4/23/16) with a heave of 49.66m… Won the hammer throw with a career-best 52.17m, the second best throw in program history, at the 2016 NCAC Outdoor Championships… Also earned All-NCAC accolades in the javelin, taking third at the conference meet with a career-best 55.87m throw.

2014-15: Earned All-NCAC accolades in the javelin at the NCAC Outdoor Championsihps, placing second with a throw of 49.20 meters... Set personal record in the javelin at the Kenyon Invitational (4/18), where he won with a throw of 49.60 meters... Top performance of the season in the hammer came at the NCAC Championships, where he placed sixth with a heave of 44.97 meters... Placed fourth at the NCAC Indoor Championshps in the weight throw with a toss of 14.62 meters... Threw career-best 15.03 meters in the weight at the Denison Last Chance (2/27) to place fourth.

2013-14:  Regularly competed in all five  throwing disciplines, including weight, hammer, shot, discus, and javelin… Turned in a pair of top-10 finishes at the Fighting Scots Invitational (2/1), setting a personal best in the indoor shot with a throw of 10.24 meters, while throwing 13.05 meters in the weight… Finished sixth at the NCAC Indoor Championships in the weight throw with a career-best heave of 14.06 meters…Threw season-best 41.51 meters in the hammer at the John Homon Open (4/5)… Set personal best in the javelin at the Bison Outdoor Classic (4/12), with a throw of 54.05 meters… Top performance in the disc came at the Carnegie Mellon Mid-Week Invite (4/16) with a throw of 36.34 meters…  Finished fifth at the NCAC Outdoor Championship in the javelin with a throw of 49.95 meters.

Personal:   Won two letters in both football and track and field while at New Canaan High School... Placed fourth at states while in high school, as well as being a two time state football finalist... Son of Felipe and Felisa Miranda... Physics and Engineering major with a planned career in Mechanical Engineering.
