Biography

The most decorated diver in Allegheny program history, Melissa Moody-White was a three-time All-American, and two-time NCAA Division-III National Champion.  After earning All-American honors as a freshman in 1988, she capped off her sophomore season by winning the 1989 NCAA title in the 1-meter with 438.0 points, still a school record.  Two years later, competing in the 3-meter competition, she compiled a then-NCAA-record 462.70 points to take home the national title and earn NCAA Diver of the Year honors.  During her career, the Gators were a national power, with two fourth place finishes and one 11th place finish at the NCAA Championships.   Melissa was named to the Allegheny Hall of Fame in 2001.Â
