Jermaine Mitchell returned to his alma mater in February 2021.
He comes back to Meadville with nearly a decade of coaching experience. Most recently, he spent four years as an assistant at NCAA Division II Gannon, working with the defensive line and as an assistant run game coordinator. He also served as the team’s Pro Liaison and Director of Strength and Conditioning.
Prior to his time in Erie, Mitchell spent two years as an assistant coach with Division II Charleston (W. Va.), where he coached the safeties and linebackers as well as directly assisting the head coach in all other duties.
Upon graduating from Allegheny in 2011, Mitchell became an assistant coach at Marietta working with the defensive line and serving as the Pioneers’ video coordinator.
