2017: Made two starts during junior campaign... Finished 1-0 with an 8.44 ERA... Started and worked five innings vs. Wisconsin-Superior (3/21), earning the win after allowing four earned runs with six strikeouts in five innings.

2016: Made seven appearances, including three starts... Finished 1-1 with 13 strikeouts and an 8.10 ERA in 16.2 innings... Threw a scoreless inning of relief in second end of doubleheader vs. Hamilton (3/20)... Made first start of the season vs. Salve Regina (3/24), allowing three earned runs on three hits in 4.1 innings, with two K's... Started non-conference tilt vs. Pitt-Greensburg (4/14), working 3.2 innings and allowing four runs with one strikeout... Picked up first win at John Carroll (5/4), working 6.1 innings and allowing four runs on five hits with career-high seven strikeouts. 

2014: Made six appearances during his first year in an Allegheny uniform, striking out nine batters throughout the course of the season…made his first career start in his first collegiate appearance, a 2.1 inning outing against Oswego State (Mar. 18).

Personal: Son of Tim and Theresa O’Connell…born Jun. 21, 1996…four-time varsity letter-winner under head coach Randy Durkoske…All-Region First Team outfielder and pitcher during varsity career…earning Regional Pitcher of the Year during his time at Mercyhurst Prep…holds the 4th lowest all-time ERA at Mercyhurst Prep…economics major with planned career in investment finance.
