2018: Solid member of the team’s starting rotation during sophomore season… Finished 2-4 with a 4.69 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 55.2 innings pitched… Struck out at least five batters in five of his eight starts… Started and worked 7.2 innings, allowing three earned runs on eight hits with six K’s vs. Case Western (3/4)… Started and allowed just one earned run in 4.1 innings, striking out six, vs. Hamline (3/23) to earn the win… Allowed just two earned in 5.1 innings at Wabash (3/31)… Picked up second win of the season in dominating fashion against Hiram (4/18), throwing a complete-game six hitter in which he allowed just one earned run and struck out 11… Started and surrendered just two earned on six hits at Wittenberg (4/28).

2017: Made 13 appearances on the mound, including five starts, during freshman season... Went 3-1 with a 4.07 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 42 innings... Earned first career victory vs. Carthage (3/19), recording the final out in the walkoff victory... Allowed just one earned, with three strikeouts, in 4.2 innings of relief vs. Wisconsin-Superior (3/19)... Threw two innings of scoreless relief, allowing one hit with one strikeout, in win over Grinnell (3/24)... Earned a complete game victory in his first career start, scattering six hits with seven strikeouts in nine innings of work vs. Kenyon (4/3)... Six days later against #7 Wooster, worked eight scoreless innings and allowed just four hits with five K's... Named the North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, and placed on the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week, after the Kenyon and Wooster performances... Started and allowed just one run on five hits in 3.2 innings of work, taking the no-decision in win at Penn State-ehrend (4/18)... Improved to 3-1 after earning the win in relief at Denison, throwing 1.2 innings and allowing just one hit with one strikeout.

Personal: Son of Patrick and Kathleen Deagan… earned four letters in baseball and three in soccer… three-time First-Team All-Conference in baseball… 2016 Suburban League Player of the Year… 2016 NEOBCA Second-Team All-District selection… 2014 OHSSA Division I Soccer State Semifinalist… plans to major in economics.
