Biography

2017: All-NCAC First Team selection... Started all 40 games, batting .335 (52-for-141)... Led team in doubles (18), home runs (6), RBIs, (40), and stolen bases (13)... Walked 20 times and was hit by 10 pitches... Hit safely in 32 different contests, with 13 multi-hit games... Tallied multiple hits in six of 10 games during spring break trip to Tucson, Ariz... Went 3-for-4 with a walk, RBI, and five runs scored in win over Wisconsin-Superior (3/19)...Went 3-for-5 with a double and three runs scored vs. Luther (3/20)... Went 6-for-7 with four doubles, five RBIs, and five runs scored in split doubleheader vs. Wisconsin-Superior and Grinnell (3/24)... Went 4-for-5 with two doubles and four RBIs vs. Middlebury (3/25)... Had two doubles, two walks, two RBIs, and two stolen bases in win over Kenyon (4/2)... Went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBIs and three runs scored in win over nationally-ranked Wooster (4/8)... Went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs at Hiram (4/22)... Went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs at Oberlin (4/30).

2016: All-NCAC Honorable Mention selection... Made 35 appearances and 32 starts, with nine coming at shortstop and 23 at second base... Batted .315 (39-for-124) with two home runs, three triples, 11 doubles, and 25 RBIs... Finished third on the team with 30 runs scored... Tallied 11 multi-hit games... Scored two or more runs in eight different contests... Went 3-for-5 with a run scored in win over Fredonia (3/12)... Went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored vs. Union (3/24)... Racked two doubles in win over Salve Regina (3/24)... Went 3-for-6 with two doubles and three runs scored in win over Pitt-Greensburg (4/14)... Picked up second straight three-hit game two days later vs. Hiram... Went 3-for-5 with a grand slam, double, two runs scored, and career-high five RBIs in win over Oberlin (4/23)... A day later in another win over the Yeomen, went 3-for-3 with a home run and three ribbies... Went 5-for-6 with two doubles, two triples, four RBIs, and four runs scored in win at Mount Union (4/25)... Went 2-for-3, including two-run home run, in win over DePauw in NCAC Crossover opener (5/7).

2015: All-NCAC Second Team selection…closed out the season batting .351, the fourth highest average on the team, launching a squad-high seven home runs and adding 30 hits, five doubles while producing a .554 slugging percentage, the second highest total on the squad and a .411 on-base percentage…named NCAC Player of the Week on April 13th after sparking a sweep over Hiram with a .500 batting average, four home runs, six RBI and a 1.222 slugging percentage…went on an eight-game hitting streak from April 11th to 18th, driving in 16 runs during that span…appeared and started in 38 games during his sophomore season.

2013: Started in 33 contests, appearing in 38…ended freshman campaign with .281 batting average, driving in 26 runs while slugging .430, the fourth highest total on the team…named Allegheny Male Athlete of the Week on Apr. 21, 2014 after batting .409 and slugging .727 during a 5-0 week for the Gators, picking up a career-high three doubles against Penn State-Behrend (Apr. 10) and six hits, including a home run, to propel the Gators to a sweep of Kenyon (Apr. 18-19)…finished 2014 campaign with three home runs, second highest total on the team, including a homer in the second game of his collegiate career, a 12-2 win over John Carroll (Feb. 22).

Personal: Son of Greg and Lauren Shick…born Sept. 17, 1994…11-time varsity letter-winner (baseball, hockey, golf, fencing)…won district and league baseball championships during varsity career…played on state champion hockey team and league champion golf squad…earned All-League awards in baseball, hockey and golf…biochemistry major with minor in economics.
