Biography

2011: Played and started in all 30 games for Allegheny...named to the All-NCAC second team for the second consecutive year...ranked second on the team with 44 hits, and a batting average of .427...led all Gators with 38 runs scored... led the team in games played (30), on-base percentage (.508), runs scored (38), stolen bases (15), hit-by-pitch (12), and tied for the team lead in homeruns (3)...hit first career home run against Salem St. on March 19...hit safely in eight consecutive games from March 19-26.

2010: Named All-NCAC Second Team as a rookie…hit .409 (54-of-132) and an on base percentage of .527…drove in 16 runs and stole a team-high 17 bases from the leadoff spot…swiped a career-high three bags against Salem State on March 20th…led the team in runs scored with 50 and triples with 2…had five three-hit games…did not ground into a double play…recorded 106 putouts and three outfield assists and finished with a fielding percentage of .981…had a 12-game hitting streak in which he hit .444 (20-of-45)…led the team in hit by pitches (15).
Personal: Son of Thomas and Julie Hansen…born August 4, 1990…majoring in Physics…letterwinner for two years in baseball, three for basketball, and four for golf…Division 10 First-Team outfielder…named to his high school’s Hall of Fame…four-time scholar athlete…father Thomas Hansen played baseball and basketball at the University of Notre Dame and was a member of the basketball team that ended the historic record-setting 88-game winning streak of UCLA, and later played in the minor league system of the Detroit Tigers…his grandfather Carl Hansen played in the St. Louis Cardinals organization making it to AAA ... majoring in physics with a minor in psychology.
