Biography

2018: Served as one of the team’s top options out of the bullpen, while also making a pair of starts during senior season… Made 12 appearances, going 2-1 with one save and a 2.81 ERA in 25.2 innings pitched... Struck out 25 against just eight walks… Earned the win in relief vs. Carroll (3/18), throwing 2/1 innings and allowing no runs on just one hit… Retired the final two batters of the game to pick up the save in win over Wesleyan (3/20)… In first career start, worked five innings and allowed one earned run with four strikeouts, taking the no-decision in win over Wisconsin-Superior (3/22)… Threw two scoreless innings, with three strikeouts, in win over Hiram (4/22)… Made the start in the season finale vs. DePauw (5/5), allowing one run on five hits with six strikeouts in five innings of work.

2017: Maintained role as one of the team's most oft-used relievers...Led team with 17 appearances out of the bullpen, throwing 22.2 innings... Tallied team-high four saves... Struck out 20 batters... Seven of his appearances were multi-innings... Struck out both batters he faced to close the game and earn first save vs. John Carroll (2/25)... Worked 3.2 innings, allowing two runs with four strikeouts to earn the save vs. Wisconsin-Superior (3/24)... Threw a perfect ninth to pick up third save of the season in win over Kenyon (4/2)... Threw career-high four innings, allowing just one walk with three strikeouts, vs. nationally-ranked Wooster (4/9)... Allowed just three runs over final 10 appearances, spanning 14 innings, between Apr. 4 - May 7... Threw three scoreless frames, allowing just one hit with three K's, vs. Ohio Wesleyan (4/15)... Authored two perfect frames at Hiram (4/23), striking out two. 

2016: Emerged as a top option out of the bullpen during sophomore season... Made 14 relief appearances, going 1-0 with nine strikeouts and a 4.50 ERA in 16.0 innings... Scored upon in just four appearances... Threw 1.1 scoreless innings, with two strikeouts, vs. Hamilton (3/20)... Worked two scoreless innings, striking out two, at Thiel (3/29)... Retired the two batters he faced in relief in doubleheader at Wooster (4/2)...  Allowed no runs and one hit with two strikeouts in win at Penn St.-Behrend (4/20)... Threw a perfect inning of relief in NCAC Crossover opener vs. DePauw (5/7). 

2015: Appeared in eight contests, striking out 11 batters during his first season for the Gators…made his collegiate debut against Ripon (Mar. 15)…struck out a season- and career-high seven batters against Washington & Jefferson (Mar. 17), holding the Presidents to one run on three hits over 3.2 innings pitched.

Personal: Son of Dan and Mikki Perry…two-time All-Conference First Team honoree…also earned First Team All-District and Honorable Mention All-State honors during career…majoring in communication arts and plans to pursue a career as a collegiate AD
