Mike Victory

Mike Victory was hired to the Gator coaching staff in September 2016.

He arrived in Meadville after spending four seasons as an assistant at St. Mary's College of Maryland. He served as the team's pitching coach and recruiting coordinator during that timeframe, helping the Seahawks' staff lower their team earned run average in his first season. Victory mentored right-handed hurler Sam Beatty, who closed his career in 2014 with postseason recognition from both the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). Beatty finished that year with a 2.36 ERA over 76.1 innings, going the distance three times while striking out a total of 68 batters.

Since the winter of 2010, Victory has worked with the USA Baseball Academy as a spring training head coach by organizing eight-week pitching programs and developing pitching and throwing skills of younger baseball players. He has been the head coach of Diamond Skills Baseball since 2015 and served as associate head coach for the Bayhawks Baseball Club from Dec. 2015-16.

Victory, who also spent seven seasons as an assistant coach for the women's basketball program at St. Mary's (Md.), is a Seahawks baseball alumnus, having pitched for the program from 2009-12. He was a two-year team captain, four-time CAC All-Academic Team selection, and claimed the team's Rookie of the Year award in 2009. As a senior, Victory finished in the top 25 nationally for walks per inning (0.125) and received the Athletic Directors Award.

A native of Westford, Mass., Victory graduated from St. Mary's (Md.) in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in history. He later earned his Master's degree in teaching from the college in 2013
