Biography
2014-15: At NCAC Championships…advanced to the A-Final of the 400 I.M., finishing eighth overall with a 4:11.61…won the B-Final of 200 fly, closing the race in 1:56.85…additionally clinched a spot in the B-Final of the 200 back, reaching the wall in 1:57.42…swam the third leg for the Gators in the 400 medley relay, helping the team finish seventh (3:36.06)…During Regular Season…won seven individual events, including a pair of events against Edinboro (Nov. 14) and John Carroll (Nov. 21)…winning the 200 fly in 2:03.93 on senior day against Wooster (Jan. 24).
2013-14: In his junior year, Crooks was part of the scoring 400 medley relay conferences swimming his leg in 54.03, and eighth in the 200 Medley Relay, a seventh place individual finish in the 200 fly with a time of 1:55.71, and a trip to the B Final of 200 I.M. with a 1:58.53.
2012-2013: Continued his strong performance from his first year by posting season best times throughout the season...performed strongly at the 2013 NCAC Championships, making three finals...made C Final in 200 I.M. with a time of 1:58.65...made B Final in both the 400 I.M. and 200 fly with times of 4:12.65 and 1:57.92 respectively.
2011-2012: Had an extremely strong first season as a member of the Blue and Gold, consistently posting personal records throughout the year...posted a season-best 1:51.47 in the 200 free against Case Western...added a season best 2:22.77 in the 200 breast against Oberlin..put together his strongest meet at the 2012 NCAC Championships, making the C Final in the 200 IM with a time of 1:59.50...made the B Final in the 400 I.M. with a time of 4:16.65...capped off his weekend with a trip to the A Final in the 200 fly, finishing eighth for the Gators with a time of 1:58.10.
Personal: Son of Thomas and Molly Crooks…born Jul. 30, 1993…six-time letter winner (swimming, tennis)…WIPAL, PIAA, YMCA District, State and National qualifier during varsity career...biochemistry major, values, ethics & social action minor…planned career as pediatrician.
