Lock Haven Standout Beppler Joins Field Hockey Coaching Staff

MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Megan Beppler, a former Division I student-athlete at Lock Haven University, will join the Allegheny College field hockey staff as an assistant coach ahead of the upcoming 2026 campaign.

A four-year letterwinner and team captain at Lock Haven, Beppler was a mainstay on defense for the Bald Eagles before her senior season was cut short due to injury. She started 48 of her 51 career games, including 12 starts in her freshman season in 2022. That year, Beppler helped the Bald Eagles go undefeated on their home field, open the season with seven consecutive victories, and qualify for the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament. In February, she was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National Academic Squad, which recognizes student-athletes who finished with a GPA of 3.5 or higher in the fall 2025 semester.

Off the field, Beppler was a member of the Sports Management Club and Social Justice Task Force at LHU. In the summer of 2025, she completed an internship in ticket sales and sponsorship with the Reading Royals of the ECHL. She's also spent the past year as a certified national scout for Pro 7 Sports Recruiting, helping high school athletes and their families navigate the recruiting process and securing scholarship opportunities.

Most recently, Beppler served as a graduate assistant in Lock Haven's Student Recreation Center while working towards her master's degree.

Originally from West Pittson, Pennsylvania, Beppler will graduate from Lock Haven next month with both a bachelor's and a master's degree in sports management.
