AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- The Allegheny College baseball team suffered a 6-1 defeat against St. John Fisher University on Saturday afternoon at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale, Florida.
The Gator (2-2) lineup outhit the Cardinals (3-1), but Fisher made the most of its four hits to secure the win. The Cardinals took the lead with a solo home run in the bottom of the first. In the fifth, they walked the bases loaded with two outs and cleared them with a double.

Tyler Skaggs (Champion Heights, Ohio/Champion) and freshman utility man
Zach Miner (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) smacked back-to-back doubles, but the former was gunned down at the plate trying to score Allegheny's first run of the game. Skaggs doubled again in the seventh, this time plating
Johnny Hughes (Cheswick, Pa./Springdale) for the team's lone run.
