HIRAM, Ohio – The Allegheny women's basketball team closed out their 2025-26 regular season on the road Saturday (Feb. 21) at Hiram, defeating the Terriers 65-52.
The Gators enter the 2025-26 PAC Championship Tournament as the second seed in the North Division. They will host Bethany, the third seed in the South Division, Tuesday night (Feb. 24) in Meadville at 6 pm.
Allegheny jumped out to a 10-2 lead early in the first. The Terriers cut into the lead, but the Gators kept their advantage throughout the frame as they led 15-11 heading into the second.
In the second, the Gators once again put together an early 10-2 run to increase their lead to 25-13. By the end of the half, their advantage grew to 14 points, 33-19, heading into the locker room.
The Gators opened the third quarter on a 6-0 run, but the Terriers answered with a 12-2 run of their own. Hiram continued to chip away at the Gator lead, but Allegheny maintained a 46-38 going into the final quarter of play.
Jess Bickart (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) hit a three to start the fourth, kicking off a 13-2 run. Once again, Hiram responded with a 12-0 run, cutting the lead to 59-52. However, Allegheny netted the final six points of the game as they closed out their regular season with the PAC victory.
Inside the Box
- Ava Kobus (Pittsburgh, Pa./Norwin) led the Gators with 20 points to go with nine rebounds and four assists.
- Sarah Santicola (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) produced a season-high 20 rebound, 13 point double-double while blocking five shots.
- Bickart finished with 12 points, nine assists and five rebounds.
- Isabella Antonacci (Indiana, Pa./Indiana Area) netted 10 points and three assists.
- The Gators shot 49.1% (28-of-57) and owned a 41-35 edge in rebounds.

- The Gators end their regular season with a 13-12 overall record and a 10-6 record in PAC play.
- Allegheny is now 41-10 all-time against Hiram after sweeping the regular season series.
