LATROBE, Pa. – The Allegheny men's basketball team fell on the road in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action at Saint Vincent, 85-59, Saturday (Jan. 17).
After some back-and-forth action to start the game, the Bearcats went on a 9-3 run to take a 16-7 lead. The Gators pulled within six points, 20-14, with eight minutes left in the half. However, Saint Vincent outscored the Gators 18-8 the rest of the way to take a 38-22 lead into the locker room.
After trading baskets over the opening minutes of the second half, the Bearcats started to pull away as their advantage reached as much as 28 points with under ten minutes left. The Gators continued to battle the Bearcats down the stretch but ultimately fell on the road.
Inside the Box
- Pijus Latauskas (Vilnius, Lithuania/Kiski Prep (Pa.)) led the team with 14 points, going eight-of-11 from the free-throw line.
- Ryan Lang (Sarver, Pa./Knoch) also finished in double-digits with 13 points. He also grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double.
- Lincoln Brockmeyer (Akron, Ohio/Copley) was the third Gator to finish the game in double figures, netting 10 points.
- James Sitter (Erie, Pa./Fairview) finished with seven points and six rebounds.
- Devon Lewis (Fort Wayne, Ind./Canterbury School) and Eli Teslovich (Belle Vernon, Pa./Shady Side Academy) had four points each.

- Lang tallied his fourth career double-double.
