D3football.com Release
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- D3football.com selected two from the Allegheny College football team for the Team of the Week following Saturday's matchup against Geneva College.
Linebacker
Ryan Croston (Jefferson, Ohio/Pymatuning Valley) and punter
Dylan Reid (Loxahatchee, Fla./Seminole Ridge) were the only freshmen recognized by D3football.com during Week 4 of the 2025 campaign.
In his third consecutive start at outside linebacker, Croston led all players with a game- and career-high 11 tackles. All of his stops were solo tackles, which included his first collegiate sack for a loss of eight yards at the end of the third quarter.
Reid punted six times with an average of 40.0 yards per punt against the Golden Tornadoes. His first attempt was a career-long 59-yard boot, one of two downed inside the Geneva 20-yard line. In the second quarter, Reid had a 51-yard punt downed at the one-yard line. He also made a great play to avoid disaster after a high snap traveled over his head and into Allegheny's own end zone. With multiple rushers closing in, he managed to punt the ball from the end zone all the way to midfield.
Croston, Reid, and the rest of the Allegheny football team will travel to Waynesburg University for their next Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup on Saturday, October 4, at 1 p.m.
