MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny women's soccer team concluded non-conference play Saturday (Sept. 20) at home against Carlow, celebrating Blue & Gold Weekend with a 6-0 victory.
The Gators scored three goals in each half of play.
Early pressure from the Gator offensive attack paid off with a goal in the 16th minute.
Camryn Kunz (New Kensington, Pa./Kiski Area) passed the ball along to
Katherine Surdykowski (Chesterfield, N.J./Northern Burlington County Regional). Surdykowski took a chance from about five yards outside the goal box and found the back of the net for the game's first tally. The goal marked her second of the year. Allegheny found the back of the net again in the 30th minute. This time,
Gracyn Fry (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) connected with
Savannah Wilde (Lancaster, Ohio/Bloom-Carroll). Wilde took a step around a defender and placed the ball in the back of the net for the second goal of the contest. The goal and assist were both the second of the season for each. The lead reached 3-0 in the 41st minute.
Aylish McNevan (Willoughby, Ohio/Andrews Osborne Academy) set-up
Audrey Flynn (Ionia, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) about 20 yards out. Flynn's shot got over the keeper to the back of the net. The goal was Flynn's first.
Kunz extended the lead with her first collegiate goal in the 56th minute. Assisted by Surdykowski, Kunz got past a defender and slipped a shot past a charging goalie for the tally. Surdykowski scored her second goal of the contest in the 66th minute. A corner kick by
Karley Johnson (Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville Community) found Surdykowski who headed it in. The final goal of the contest came in the 84th minute. Flynn found Wilde on a long pass. Wilde caught up to the ball and lofted it over a charging goalkeeper for her second goal of the game.

- Allegheny outshot the Celtics 46-2 and earned 12 corners.
