Men’s Lacrosse Closes Season at Westminster

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Allegheny men's lacrosse team closed out their 2025 campaign on the road at Westminster Saturday (April 26), falling to the Titans 10-3 in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action.
 
The Titans gained the early advantage as they outpaced the Gators 3-0 in the opening 15 minutes. Westminster would score first in the second quarter before Jack Cushwa (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg) got the Gators on the board off an assist by JP Rakis (Kensington, Md./Walter Johnson). The Titans scored with just over a minute to go, but the Gators answered as Rakis scored unassisted as they cut the deficit to 5-2 at the break.
 
Similar to the opening quarter, the Titans held the Gators off the board in the frame as they advanced their lead to 9-2 after scoring four times.
 
The Gators scored first in the fourth quarter as Cushwa scored his second goal of the game. This time it was assisted by CT Graniel (Scranton, Pa./Scranton Preparatory).
 
Westminster scored the lone goal of a defensive oriented fourth quarter as the Gators fell to the Titans in their season finale.
 
Inside the Box
  • Cushwa scored a pair of goals.
  • Rakis had a goal and an assist to go with a pair of groundballs.
  • Graniel added an assist.
  • Konrad Homiak (Hampstead, N.C./Topsail) had three groundballs and caused a pair of turnovers.
  • Anthony DeMarco (Olmsted Falls, Ohio/Olmsted Falls) went 11-for-17 on faceoffs and finished with three groundballs.
  • Liam Kruck (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin) and Titus Smith (Newark, Ohio/Licking Valley) had two groundballs each.
  • Garin Stearns (Hudson, Ohio/Revere) made 15 saves.
News and Notes
  • Cushwa ends his career with a program record 127 goals. He is also currently second all-time in points with 152.
  • Rakis broke his own record for points in a single season with 94.
